Meet Christina Wnuk

Founder, CCO, Clinical Director, Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Christina brings a dynamic and highly specialized background, shaped by a variety of experiences that honed her skills and developed a strong clinical compass. Since 2013, she has fused her scientific interests with her passion for helping others, guiding her work with children and families and inspiring the creation of thoughtful, evidence-based programming. Her professional journey spans scientific research at The Jackson Laboratory, a prestigious research institute, to the pediatric therapy field, where she has managed and coordinated client services, provided direct client and family support, and provided oversight of clinical management and practices. This array of experience allows her to integrate evidence-based practices with holistic, child-led, and family-centered approaches, ensuring that programs maintain the highest clinical standards while being thoughtfully designed, effectively managed, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology and Bioinformatics, where she first cultivated her interest in research through professional roles. Her passion for scientific inquiry, combined with a strong desire to support and connect with others, naturally led her to pursue a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the State of Connecticut, bringing advanced training and expertise in behavior analysis to her work with clinical staff, children and families. Her background allows her to combine rigorous scientific knowledge with practical, compassionate application, ensuring interventions are both effective and individualized. She has also completed specialized training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to feeding, further enhancing her ability to support the unique needs of the individuals she works with.

Guided by her professional journey and built on a foundation of diverse experiences, she co-founded Somewhere Over the Spectrum, bringing together her scientific expertise and strong clinical compass to lead, shape and oversee the organization’s clinical practices. Rooted in a neurodivergent affirming approach, she emphasizes child-centered, holistic programming that supports each child’s growth, autonomy, and well-being. She ensures Somewhere Over the Spectrum’s approach integrates evidence-based practices with practical, individualized strategies, ensuring that every program is thoughtfully designed, effectively implemented, and responsive to the unique needs of children and families.

Christina leads Somewhere Over the Spectrum by shaping and guiding the organization’s clinical practices, mentoring BCBAs, and managing the Clinical Department to ensure systems are both functional and accessible. She connects deeply with parents and caregivers, empowering them on their journey and ensuring that the commitments made to children and families are upheld with intention, empathy, and a consistent, compassionate approach.
